The Cabarfeidh Hotel is committed to making all facilities available to all people, regardless of permanent or temporary disability, both for the convenience of our guests and for compliance with current legislation.
Accessible hotels – Stornoway Isle of Lewis.
Reception, lounge, bar, restaurant, disabled toilet facilities and function rooms are all on the ground floor, which is accessed directly from a level car park via a low wheelchair ramp.
A lift is provided to all bedroom floors.
At the present time, one twin bedroom, together with its en-suite wet room has been adapted specifically for guests with limited mobility – this room is also available for single occupancy. A number of other rooms are also accessible to wheelchair users, dependent upon their level of disability.
Guide dogs and hearing dogs are welcome in their owners’ accommodation and all public areas. Braille signage and hearing loops are not yet generally provided, though the lift does have braille button and audible information.
Facilities available will be continuously reviewed and new facilities introduced where necessary, practical and possible.
Please feel welcome to discuss your specific requirements with our reception staff.
We are commited to giving people with disabilities equal access to websites and online content. This site has been designed with accessiblity in mind and we believe it will comply with equal access requirements. For example, all text may be adjusted in size, all relevant images and links are provided with alternative descriptions and the coding has been checked for conformance to appropriate standards.
As the BBC have done such an excellent job of providing guidance for users who wish to adjust the way a site is displayed to them, probably much better than we could do, this link which will open their accessibility guide (into a new window) is provided to assist you.
